ACER certifies the European Transparency Platform Powered by SEEBURGER as REMIT Inside Information Platform (IIP)
SEEBURGER’s European Transparency Platform was certified by ACER as one of the first Inside Information Platforms (IIPs) in Europe.
We are pleased to announce that SEEBURGER’s European Transparency Platform was certified by ACER on April 28, 2021 as one of the first Inside Information Platforms (IIPs) in Europe. The official announcement by ACER will be published in this List of Inside Information Platforms, on the ACER website.
According to the EU Regulation on wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) 1227/2011, article 4, paragraph 1, insider information must be disclosed in a timely and effective manner. SEEBURGER operates the European Transparency Platform under transparency.seeburger.cloud, for the disclosure of REMIT insider information.
In addition, SEEBURGER has been certified as a Registered Reporting Mechanism (RRM) by ACER since October 2015 and is listed in the official List of Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRM). SEEBURGER Post Trading Services, Confirmation Matching and now the Transparency Platform, are available as Public Cloud Services. The services are already used by more than 1500 market participants to transmit trading transactions on the energy wholesale market or insider information to ACER, or to exchange electronic trade confirmations (electronic confirmation matching).
SEEBURGER Post Trading Services actively supports open and fair competition in the European energy wholesale markets. By prohibiting any trading based on insider information and deterring market manipulation, REMIT creates the basis for more market transparency and integrity, and ultimately protects the interests of companies and consumers.
